I’m Lisa and I am a native to the San Francisco Bay Area. I started Ravishing Hunger simply because I love to eat and love to cook. I am grateful to have grown up in a large Italian family (there’s a bit of French thrown in there, too) where food is not only a tradition, but something to be shared, enjoyed, and talked about…constantly. Luckily, the man I chose to spend the rest of my life also comes from an Italian family and has the same passion for consuming great food as I do. It’s a match made in foodie heaven!
On most days you can find me chasing after my toddler who is amazing all around but who also makes it challenging for me to get meals on the table most of the time. Let’s just say she’s taught me how to become more organized in my kitchen and embrace more simple, straightforward recipes.
For those that are just getting into cooking, I hope you can learn something from this blog that will encourage you to keep at it and realize that cooking isn’t a chore, but that let’s you test your creativity and share it with others. And for those that have been cooking for years, I look forward to learning something new from you on my journey to becoming a great home cook.
I am proud to share with you some of my unique family recipes on this blog as well as any fun recipes that I feel inspired to try.
